Project Overview
Located on Fereshteh Street, at the corner of Amin Street in Tehran, Iran, Luvo Café & Restaurant is situated within the landmark Epic Building. The project was developed in collaboration with Maxeline Company, under the management of Nima Farzaneh, bringing together contemporary hospitality design, advanced kitchen engineering, and a comprehensive café-restaurant concept. Our involvement in the project began during its initial construction phase, prior to Maxeline’s participation. Working alongside Mr. Kardan, our team was responsible for providing consultancy services and developing the initial designs for the building’s food and beverage units. Following the introduction of Maxeline and a significant transformation of the project’s concept, the entire design underwent a comprehensive revision, requiring the redevelopment of the operational infrastructure from the ground up.Infrastructure & Engineering Design
One of the most significant aspects of Luvo Café was the complete redesign and implementation of its technical infrastructure to meet the specific operational requirements of a modern, high-performance café and restaurant. The project incorporates Ecology filtration systems for kitchen grease and exhaust management, supporting efficient ventilation and improved environmental performance. All essential infrastructure was carefully planned and executed in accordance with the restaurant’s operational needs and technical standards. In addition, the project’s electromechanical (MEP) drawings underwent a comprehensive design and review process to ensure proper coordination between architectural layouts, kitchen equipment, and building services. This integrated engineering approach established a reliable foundation for the restaurant’s daily operations and long-term performance.Culinary Concept & Kitchen Design
Inspired by the contemporary café-bistro concept, Luvo extends beyond a traditional café to offer a complete restaurant experience with a diverse and carefully developed menu. The culinary offerings include a wide selection of pizzas, burgers, steaks, fresh salads, hot and cold beverages, and desserts. To support this extensive menu, the professional kitchen was designed with dedicated preparation areas, including separate vegetable preparation facilities and a specialized bakery section. The kitchen layout was thoughtfully developed to optimize operational workflows, enhance food preparation efficiency, and maintain high standards of hygiene and service quality.Back-of-House & Staff Facilities
Recognizing the importance of a well-organized professional hospitality environment, the project includes comprehensive back-of-house facilities designed to support both operational efficiency and staff well-being. Dedicated staff amenities include a dining room, restrooms, personal lockers, and a staff lounge. Additionally, separate storage rooms and refrigerated storage facilities were strategically distributed across different floors and within the building’s parking levels. This carefully coordinated arrangement ensures efficient inventory management, proper food storage, and smooth operational support throughout the restaurant.Interior Design & Project Collaboration
The interior design of Luvo Café & Restaurant was developed in collaboration with Ms. Maschi’s design team, creating a contemporary and inviting environment that complements the restaurant’s café-bistro identity. The kitchen commissioning and operational setup were carried out in collaboration with Farshad Mirbabaei and Elnaz Azizi, whose energy, dedication, and professional involvement contributed to the successful development of the culinary operations. The bar setup was also completed in collaboration with Parsa Rezaeian, supporting the development of the restaurant’s beverage service operations. The complete professional kitchen design and equipment installation were undertaken in collaboration with Habtoor International, ensuring the integration of specialized kitchen solutions, reliable equipment, and efficient operational systems.Project Outcome
Luvo Café & Restaurant represents a comprehensive approach to contemporary hospitality development, combining architectural coordination, advanced engineering, professional kitchen design, and operational planning. From the complete reconstruction of its technical infrastructure to the integration of specialized culinary stations and staff facilities, every aspect of the project was developed to support a sophisticated and multifunctional dining concept. The result is a modern café-restaurant environment where thoughtful design, technical precision, and culinary functionality come together to create a distinctive hospitality destination in Tehran.
